Heidi Li's Potpourri: Informed speculation: what the Clinton and Obama camps may be negotiating
Dr. Feldman, purely as an Irish observer of the current Presidential Election, I have a query and one on which I would appreciate your comments,
I have read in the press that for many years in all the conventions, historically it was the norm for the No2 runner
(the candidate who was not the" nominee " to have their name entered into the nomination, have their supporters speak on their behalf and followed by a roll call vote.
If this normal and accepted procedure is not on the agenda for this year's convention, can a legal challenge be made by an ordinary member of the Democratic party to have an injunction issued by the relative court to prevent the Convention taking place on the agreed date in August ,until this change in procedure has been argued legally and what effects it could have on the possible outcome of the contest.
Further, if Lawyers of the candidates are now talking, could this opportunity to present a legal challenge for an injunction
be jeopardized.
I do not have the procedures of elections in the United
States, and I apologize if I am way off course.
Good wishes, Senex, Ireland
